I’m Rahul, the person behind Tested by Human.
I created this site out of a genuine interest in understanding how AI tools work in practice. Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday work, study, and creativity, but using these tools effectively requires more than just reading feature lists or headlines. It requires time, testing, and careful judgment.
I have a research background in physics and technology, and I am currently pursuing a PhD at IIT Guwahati. My work and training have shaped how I approach technology. I am used to asking questions, testing ideas, and examining results before forming conclusions. That same mindset carries over into how I explore and write about AI tools.
The way I view AI tools in the same way as I do technology.
Tested by Human is focused on exploring and analysing AI tools and concepts in a hands-on manner. When I review a tool, my primary focus is on understanding how it functions in “real-world” situations. What does it actually do? What kinds of output does it produce? Where does it fail?
My aim is to express these observations in simple, straightforward language so you can determine whether a tool will help you meet your needs.
In addition to reviewing individual tools, this website explores various topics related to AI. These include, for example, how AI is used in day-to-day workflow processes, how it impacts productivity and how individuals can approach AI in a more informed and thoughtful manner.
I firmly believe that AI is most valuable when it is fully comprehended and not subject to either irrational excitement or fear.
This is not a website about writing as much content as possible. Rather, it is a website designed to provide time to carefully test and evaluate tools and share insights based on practical, real-world experience.
Some tools are amazing. Other tools are still developing. All of them deserve an accurate, unbiased assessment.
Tested by Human is a representation of the fact that human judgment is still relevant today. While AI can certainly assist, automate and expedite many tasks, ultimately it is human beings who make decisions based on their own understanding of what they are using.
That is the spirit of Tested by Human.
